Our Private Lesson Cancellation Policy ...
From Sept-Jan, you can cancel 2 lessons. From Feb-June, you can cancel another 2 lessons. In order to cancel a lesson, you must inform our store/studio staff by phone, email or in person no later than 10am the day of the lesson. If you cancel your lesson on time, you will be eligible for a make up lesson at some point before the end of the school year. Any lessons missed (cancelled or not) beyond your 2 per season limit are not eligible for a make up, credit or refund. Your teacher and our admin staff will assist you in finding a suitable time for your make up.
At the end of the school year, we offer a number of extra days for teachers to provide make ups, giving everyone the best chance to get them done before the end of the school year. Make up lessons can not be carried over to subsequent seasons, years or used in the summer sessions. If we reach the of the June and a make up lesson has not been completed despite our best, collective attempts to do so, you will receive a 50% credit (not a refund) to be used in the next school year. Lessons that are credited can only be used by someone from the immediate family that originally registered and can not be given to someone outside of the immediate family.
Lessons cancelled by KAOS - It is unavoidable, from time to time our teachers will have to miss a day of work, just like any other person doing their job. In this case, we have a small group of verified substitute teachers who may be available to take over for the day. In this case, your lesson would take place like normal, but with the substitute teacher. When we provide a suitable (in our discretion) for your day, we do not allow students to opt out of the lesson. If you do decide to opt out, you would have to use one of your cancellation days to do so or you would simply forfeit the lesson. In the event that we can not provide a suitable substitute teacher for your day, we will cancel the day and you will either get a make up lesson before the next payment period of failing that, a full credit towards the next months payment.
Scheduling a make up lesson - If you have a make up lesson to do, our teachers and our admin staff will help you find a spot to do so. Our teachers often do make up lessons during their regular teaching days in open spots or spots that have had the regular lesson cancelled that week. This is a good option. They will also sometimes schedule a completely separate day to do make ups (common if they have missed a full day). You are not obligated to come on such a day but we do ask that you be as flexible as possible to assist us in getting you your make up lesson completed. Once you have scheduled a make up lesson, we do not allow you to cancel it and if you miss your scheduled make up lesson, no further make up lesson will be offered in its place nor will the missed lesson be eligible any further for a make up opportunities.
Adult guitar classes and Rock Band programs are all group activities and therefore unfortunately do not offer any cancellation/makeup type facility for missed lessons, cancelled or not.

When you choose to enroll for lessons with us, we are assuming that you will continue lessons each month for the entire school year (you can stop at any time as per our withdrawal/cancellation policy). As such, we need a means to process your lesson fees each month automatically. Students can choose one of three possible ways to pay for lessons. (1) Most commonly, students will provide us with their credit card information that we will use each month to process that months fees. (2) You could enroll in a pre-authorized debit agreement with us and the fees will be taken from your bank account each month or (3) you could pay for the entire school year at the time of registration. This option offers you a $10 per remaining month discount on your lesson fees. A small group of people really prefer to pay by cash or debit and while we can do that, you are still required to provide us with a valid credit card that will be used for your fees if you happen to forget to pay for your lessons before the payment date each month.
Withdrawing from lessons - Should you decide to withdraw from lessons, you can do so with 2 weeks notice at any time. Simply provide us notice in writing (usually by email). During the 2 weeks notice period, you are welcome to attend your lesson or if you’d prefer you can donate your spot to a friend or family member who can take you lesson during those last 2 weeks. We do not allow make up lessons to be done in place of your regular lessons during the 2 week notification period. Any cancelled lessons that have not been made up by the date that you withdraw will be forfeited. So, it is best to arrange and do any needed make ups before you withdraw if possible.
