SHERI JOSEPHSON ...

Sheri is a veteran educator with over 20 years experience, most of which is with us here at Kaos. Sheri not only teaches a full schedule of private students, she is a fully certified Yamaha Music Education instructor as well as our school administrator. Sheri and her Yamaha Certified colleagues have developed our early childhood education program using Yamaha’s Music Education System. When asked, Sheri would tell you that she gets the most joy out of her teaching when her students enjoy their lessons and leave feeling good about their accomplishments.

SHANNON DACANAY ...

Shannon has been playing piano since the age of 3. Her numerous playing achievements include the recent completion of her RCM ARCT Performers Exam. Shannon will be continuing her education this year at U of T working on her Masters Thesis. While not working on her studies or practising, Shannon spends time working with her family business and has spent many summers working in Korea as an English tutor. Shannon's youthful and enthusiastic disposition make her a great part of our teaching team.

FRANK COSENTINO ...

Frank has been playing guitar for longer then he'd care to admit and teaching for well over 25 years, most of that time for us. In fact, Frank was Kaos Music Centre's first ever guitar teacher starting with us in late 1989. Besides having years of playing experience, Frank attended Humber College taking part in their prestigious music program. Frank is a well known Blues guitarist in the Canadian music community and has many original CD's to his credit. As a teacher, Frank is well known for his enthusiasm and enjoys a loyal following of students. His specialty is The Blues and Frank has helped many students explore this age old genre in detail with great success.


MARTIN SKRZYPCZYK…

Martin began his musical journey like many as a young piano student. However, it was not long before he switched to guitar and ultimately went on to earn a degree in music specializing in jazz and composition from York University. In the past decade, Martin has taught (previously for us here at KAOS), played live and in studio as well as composed hours of music for film and theatre. Having spent most of his life in the Kingsway area, he is happy to be joining us again as a valued member of our teaching team.


CHRIS STAIG ...

Chris has been playing guitar for over 20 years and teaching for over 10 years. As a teenager, Chris studied rock, jazz, classical and theory at the Eli Kassner Guitar Academy in Toronto under renowned instructor Rob Campbell. He has recorded 3 CDs with his own band and has been labeled by the Toronto Sun “ a songwriting Charles Atlas” He continues to play live in Toronto with his own band and many others. Chris believes anyone should walk out from their first guitar lesson with three chords under their belt and a smile on their face. His approach emphasizes fun for the student, technique on the instrument and enthusiasm for music.


SARAH ASHBORN…

Sarah has been teaching piano for over 25 years now, some of which were spent at KAOS Music years ago. Sarah holds her RCM Grade 8 piano and RCM Grade 2 theory. She combines that formal education with years of teaching experience, both on the job and in her home life, growing up in a very musical environment. Taking great pleasure in her students success, Sarah offers an enriching lesson experience that focuses both on practical curriculum as well as each student's individual area of interests to ensure an effective yet consistently fun lesson.


CLAIR HAIG-HALSALL …

Claire joins our school with over a decade of teaching and performing experience. From an early age, Claire knew that she was going to be a singer. Years of private study led her to Toronto where she studied at the Randolph College For The Performing Arts, where she studied voice, dance and acting. Clarie is well versed in many styles of music including rock, pop, jazz, classical and broadway music. She works with each student individually to develop a unique program that helps her students learn and progress while having as much fun as possible!


JUSTIN SULLIVAN …

Justin joins our teaching team with many years of voice training under his belt. After completing his Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music Composition at Wilfred Laurier University, he completed a Masters of Music Composition at the University of Alberta. All along the way, singing in many choirs as well as pop/rock bands. Justin also plays brass instruments to a high level along with guitar, bass and keyboards. He has a passion for composition (obviously) and songwriting and incorporates this passion into all of his lessons, beginner to advanced.


OLEKSANDRA FEDYSHYN ...

Oleksandra is a violinist, pianist and composer. She holds a Masters degree in music from the Lviv National Music Academy in the Ukraine.  In addition to her classical music endeavors, Oleksandra works as a composer for movie and film and participates as a member of a chamber choir. Oleksandra combines a unique mix of classical training with a wealth of real world performance experience to make her students lesson experiences both educational yet fun and motivating at the same time.


GALEN WEIR ...

Galen is a graduate of the Humber Jazz Program with a Bachelor Of Music. As a performer of a wide variety of musical genres (big band swing, classic rock, Latin jazz, heavy metal, classical, funk... and pretty much everything in between), he is more then able/willing to work in most any style with his students. He has a strong formal background in music theory as well as a strong ear for lifting lines from a recording. His easy going approach combined with his formal training are a great combination.


FERNANDO SANTANA …

Fernando joins our team as a guitar instructor with a broad background in a number of different styles. Having completed his grade 10 RCM performance certificate, Fernando went onto study at the University of Toronto. Presently, he is in the process of completing his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar at Humber College. Having played and taught for many years, Fernando brings a ton of experience and knowledge to his lessons. Having studied and performed in so many different styles gives him a lot to draw on and share in his lessons. Fluent in both English and Spanish as well.

TOM KONCAN …

Tom graduated from the Humber College Music Program where he studied jazz, latin, funk and fusion music with some of Canada's most advanced instructors. He went onto perform extensively in Canada, the USA and Europe for many years. For the past decade, Tom has made Oakville his home and focused more on local playing, recording and a regular schedule of teaching. Tom's students get the benefit of his solid musical background, his years of playing and teaching experience and most importantly, his fun loving and lighthearted personality.


MATTHEW ZACHARY TENEDERO …

Matthew is all about guitar. He is a 4th year student at Humber College where he is working towards his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance. This degree is immersive and requires a high level of dedication to complete. His gentle and calm disposition make him a great teacher as he applies his experience in his own schooling with his real life teaching experience, teaching in the TDSB teaching the Little Jammerz program to school age kids. Outside of school and work, Matthew can be found rehearsing and performing with the Toronto All Star Big Band in various venues across the GTA. Young or old, experienced or beginner, Matthew can help you learn guitar.


JEREMY JACKSON ...

Jeremy fell in love with guitar at an early age and began a journey to learn as much as he possibly could about the instrument along with songwriting, singing and recording. He took that knowledge with him to the Humber College Music program but opted to complete a BBA Arts & Science degree. Jeremy is a working musician (his specialty being heavier rock music), splitting his time between practice, performance, songwriting, recording and one of his favourite things, teaching. Jeremy prides himself in his ability to help build confidence in his students while they tackle the task of learning guitar. A systematic approach is combined with an individual game plan based on each students unique musical tastes and preferences.
