In 1987 KAOS Music founder Bill Bates had just dropped out of York University. Disenchanted with the prospect of becoming a computer programmer and more interested in computer music, Bill took a job working at a Mississauga based music store as a junior clerk. Less then two years later, he had decided that Toronto needed a specialty computer music store. By September of 1989, Keyboard KAOS was founded and opened it's doors for business. Located in a 400 sq ft. storefront just off of Bloor Street in Toronto, this modest little store got its start selling keyboards and accessories as well as teaching piano and guitar lessons in two makeshift lesson rooms in the basement. 33 short years later, Keyboard KAOS has evolved into one of Toronto's premier guitar and digital piano shopping destinations, Kaos Music Centre. In our 33 years, we have seen tons of growth in our business and many changes. While our stature and location have changed, we are still guided by one main principal. We evaluate everything that we do as if we were customer's ourselves. If we would be satisfied with our the service that we offer, we think that you will be as well. If not, we know we need to improve. Our slogan is "A great shopping experience, every time". Maintaining this promise is challenging but something that we take pride in and strive to achieve each and every day.
